About Engineer Pass

Return to Engineer Pass main page
During the mining heydey in this area (at the end of the 19th Century), Engineer Pass was used primarily by miners traveling between mining camps. It sits atop the Continental Divide and is situated on the rim of two extinct volcanic calderas. The photos below were taken at Mineral Point, just a mile down the west side of the pass.
